Labyrinth in the Sand

Lucky Jonathan, Caitlin, Ida and Reggie. They took off for a week’s vacation in picturesque Cape Cod, staying in a cozycottage by the beach. Lots of time for delicious, fresh sea food, playing in the sand, building sand sculptures and jumping ocean waves. Here is Jonathan and the kids getting back into the ocean after a rainstorm.

Ida made a labyrinth in the sand creating swirls out of footprints and rocks; I thought this was so creative, and what a great way of connecting to nature. Creating the labyrinth made Ida feel so proud.

Here she is walking the labrynth. I wonder if it made her a little dizzy, after walking around and around.

What creative activities have you done with the kids in your life at the beach?
