New Tablet for Children But Moms Can Play, Too

Warren Buckleitner, editor of Children’s Technology Review, writes a review of a new tablet designed with kids in mind. It’s the Nabi Tablet from Fuhu, sells for $199 and is an exclusive item at Toys “R” Us.

Nabi Tablet from Fuhu

This 7 inch capacitive multi-touch tablet runs on Android OS (not sure which version) and sports a Duo Core 1.1GHz processor.  The Nabi is pre-loaded with lots of apps, games, learning materials and ebooks that are geared to kids.  I think the “Mommy Mode” is interesting, as it lets mom’s enjoy the full-featured Android tablet. Now, instead of moms passing back their tablet for their kids to play with, they can play with their kid’s tablet. That’s a real role reversal!

Are tablets good tools for kids?
